cynosurejobs.com offers a neat SMS2MAIL service that I think is pretty neat. something like this was offered by another site much earlier (I tried to look for it again but couldn't).

Anyway, me gave it a whirl and the service was flawless.

Its pretty simple.

1. register
2. upload resume
3. sms

Thats it.

The time taken to send my resume was less than a minute:

I think you must, and absolutely must register.
There could be times when you are given an email address and this could ensure you can send out your resume immediately.

I do have some suggestions for the team at cynosurejobs.com

1. Multiple resumes - How do I create multiple resumes & send them out?
2. Multiple Cover letters - customized to the individual or the position
3. Format of resume - I generally like to send out my profile in pdf format. the service only offers doc.

I realize casanova was talking about something else, but in essence the damn line is true.
charismatic people attract others and that's exactly what a flame does, so here goes:

1. Be luminous - in person, in though & in action
Well groomed, well dressed, well mannered, cultured people with thoughts that can stir and actions to match are attractive.

2. Rise above the rest
The flicker strives to reach as far above as possible. stretch yourself.

3. Illuminate others
Very rarely have I heard of a flame/a beacon/a torch being lit for itself.
illuminate the lives of others, enrich their thoughts and add value to everyone around.

4. Spread the light equally
The charismatic ones spread joy equally. everyone who comes to them or in contact with them will go back a little richer, a little charged, a little better.

5. Light another flame from yourself
Ardent followers carry a little of their leaders in them. pass on the flame, ignite the fire.

How can you increase your WillPower?

Willpower for me is the ability to do the right thing, at the right time, time and time again.

It could be in the face of adversity, loss, sheer negative emotions, or in the high of a backwind.

How can you increase this power?

Think of it as a muscle.

You can build you muscle essentially by increasing the weight you exercise with or the repetitions (number of times you do the same exercise)

Now, how does that apply to willpower?

1. increase the 'ASK' you have of yourself. let this be in small increments, but nevertheless let there be an increase.
so if you wanted to write, have an incremental goal of number of words every week.
if you want to wake up in the morning, set your alarm a little early every week.

2. increase the repetition. make your willpower a natural instinct. so if you think you cant walk a kilometer, just start walking one everyday, until your body walks a kilometer like it was second nature.
do what you hate, you fear, stuff that gives you anguish. just keep doing it, till it gives way. hammer away.

start with this. see where it goes.

I have one small request.

keep promises to yourself. however small, fulfill them or let yourself free if you cant accomplish them.
either way let your mind know you are boss.

Groups do have a natural talent, which is the evaluation of ideas, rather than their creation. The conclusion of the psychological literature, therefore, is that people should be encouraged to generate ideas on their own and meetings should be used to evaluate these ideas.

I think most managers would know this. It takes science (ready pyschology) to tell us so, but expereince would have brought you to similar results.

Here are my suggestions for brain storming:

1. Send out a list of seed ideas - for people (team) to know what to build on or what kind of ideas you are looking for. You could get someone coming up with something totally opposite, that would help too.

2. Lay out the rules. Are you going to vote? Are you going to do a one-on-one challenge of ideas? will you decide by cost, customer or employee parameters?

3. Who will be responsible for implementation? No good if the brilliant idea is shelved coz it came from the opposite camp.

4. Why need the session? Most managers do it only coz it looks good and it looks like a team activity. write down why you need to do this.

1. I dont want to be a frog in a well (use this only if the interview has been great so far and the interviewer is smiling)

2. A life lived is one with varied experiences. A new place is an all new learning in people, nuances, culture and I am sure me.

3. The Job is so good, I would take it up at the farthest corner of the earth.

4. I really want to get away from my home town. its difficult when one is so loved and popular, but then, I would like to share the love with more people. (say this with a mischievous smile!)

5. America wasn't discovered by staying at home.
